**Please note that Reading Doctor Online is best used on PC or Mac via the Google Chrome browser. We are working on a native iPad app which will be ready soon.
It is possible to use Reading Doctor Online on an iPad by creating a shortcut in the iPad's Safari browser. Please ensure you have shut down all other apps (by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and removing open apps) before you use the program this way! This is because the iPad responds to multi-finger gestures and sometimes kids will accidentally exit the program by swiping with multiple fingers during an activity. Shutting down all other apps prevents this from happening.
The following video explains how to correctly set up Reading Doctor Online on an iPad:
We are still working on optimising how the program runs on iPad. To run the program on an iPad without having the issue of the bottom of the screen being chopped off, please add https://login.readingdoctor.com to your iPad's homepage.
The steps are as follows:
1. On your iPad, open the Safari browser and navigate to https://login.readingdoctor.com
2. Login a student
3. Use the zoom button to resize the program
4. Tap the 'share' icon (the little rectangle with an arrow in it in the top right of the screen)
5. Tap 'Add to Homescreen'
6. Tap 'Add'
Now when you want to login a student from this ipad, open it via the link you created on the Homepage (it will look like an app on your iPad). It will run in 'Full Screen' mode so that the bottom of the screen is not chopped off.
